In January 2013, Carterdeployed a small team of analysts to conduct a study mission of Jordan's parliamentary elections. The Center was invited by Jordan's Independent Election Commission to observe the elections. The limited mission focused on several key issues in the electoral process in the context of broader political reforms in Jordan, including the legal framework for elections, boundary delimitation, election administration, the role of gender, over and underrepresented groups, and the electoral dispute resolution process.
